PRO HOCKEY TRAINING: A STRONG Wrist Shot
Sports
Published on Apr 26, 2024
In this video, we break down, step-by-step, how to take a PROPER wrist shot to improve the accuracy and power behind your shot.
A couple of the keys to our wrist shot are first figuring out where our hands should be on your stick, but also where they should be around your body.
It is also important to know what role each of your hands play on the stick - your top hand is your control hand, and your bottom hand is your power hand.
Having the puck in our shooting box (the space about a blade length away from our stick side skate) when we shoot is also going to really impact the strength and accuracy of our shot.
